Simi Valley |
Central California (Visalia) |
2-5 |
Sean Alvord pitched a complete game giving up only 2 earned runs while striking out 10.
Our AllStars faced a tough undefeated team from Visalia and played a good game. Visalia
had 10-runed and shut out their previous two opponents. After a tough first inning they
buckled down and played this team evenly the rest of the game. Brandon Garza scored our
first run after singling and eventually scoring on a wild pitch. In the bottom of the
sixth, Tyler Block singled in Peter Vegos who had doubled to center. Unfortunately, the
rally ended there.

Simi Valley |
Northern California (Elk Grove) |
3-4 |
Tyler Block pitched 4 strong innings giving up only 2 earned runs. Cliff Quick along with
a little help from Brandon Garza finished things up holding Elk Grove to 4 runs. Our AllStars
had another tough day at the plate getting only 4 hits. They exploded for 3 runs in the third.
The inning looked to be even bigger, but a strange double-play involving Sean and a collision
with the 2nd baseman squashed any further runs. Our AllStars gave a valiant effort in this game,
but it was not meant to be!
