Team Opponent Score
Simi Valley Arizona (Desert Diamonds) 1-0
Brandon pitched a great game striking out 13. Unfortunately, the Desert Diamonds held our AllStars to 1 hit. The one run was scored on a walk by Cliff Quick who later took home on a wild pitch.
Simi Valley Nevada (Fallon) 7-2
Jake Whitaker pitched a great game, Giving up only 2 runs in 6 innings. Peter Vegos drove in the first run after Sean ALvord walked. Brandon Garza and Sean Alvord hit back to back doubles to score the second run. Fallon tied the game with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th after a great defensive play by Brandon Garza and Tyler Block. In the top of the 7th Patrick Stone walked, David Leekley pinch ran for him. Raul Rodriguez forced David at 2nd. With 2 outs, Brandon walked. Sean Alvord hit a 3-run Home Run. Jake Whitaker followed with another Home Run to right. Peter Vegos scored the final run on a passed ball.
Simi Valley Central California (Visalia) 2-5
Sean Alvord pitched a complete game giving up only 2 earned runs while striking out 10. Our AllStars faced a tough undefeated team from Visalia and played a good game. Visalia had 10-runed and shut out their previous two opponents. After a tough first inning they buckled down and played this team evenly the rest of the game. Brandon Garza scored our first run after singling and eventually scoring on a wild pitch. In the bottom of the sixth, Tyler Block singled in Peter Vegos who had doubled to center. Unfortunately, the rally ended there.
Simi Valley Northern California (Elk Grove) 3-4
Tyler Block pitched 4 strong innings giving up only 2 earned runs. Cliff Quick along with a little help from Brandon Garza finished things up holding Elk Grove to 4 runs. Our AllStars had another tough day at the plate getting only 4 hits. They exploded for 3 runs in the third. The inning looked to be even bigger, but a strange double-play involving Sean and a collision with the 2nd baseman squashed any further runs. Our AllStars gave a valiant effort in this game, but it was not meant to be!
